Fifth Year - Final Project
For the last few years mankind has accumulated more knowledge than it has all its previous history. This factor allows us to say that in the coming decades there will be significant breakthroughs in the fields of science and engineering, which will lead to a change in the structure of society and affect the architectural design of cities. The complete dependence on technology presents more complex world, which exists from a number of different realities, some real and some built-into the digital world. In fact, we are going to live in an age of "Extended Reality".
This reality leads to the development of future mega-cities, when they consist of realistic elements alongside fictional elements. In this process reality and legend merge together and produces complex structure of the city. Spaces of these "fairy tales" have a large number of physical and mechanical laws alien to real space. the ability to fly or move from a planet to another planet, pass through objects and stay in completely new environments. In this case, the question is, how should these spaces be merged together with the physical spaces? "Tomorrow" we are expected to see a completely different topography of the city. This will be a map that includes virtual worlds with substantial geography, laws of physics, qualities and even new inhabitants. As if landscapes of computer games are integrated into the city space and become its integral part.
